The ESL Speaking program is an English education package which includes Power Speaking and Grammar class. This package is designed for international students who are tired of studying standard ESL, and wish to focus more of their classroom time on speaking skills along with grammar. The program includes four hours of focused speaking exercises, through RCIIS’ Power Speaking program, with one additional hour of intensive grammar training every day of the week.
TWhile the primary focus of the program is speaking, students will also improve their grammatical skills, allowing them to use more sophisticated sentences and advanced vocabulary. This package is ideal for students who want to continue to improve their spoken English, but are still worried about basic ESL skills. This system allows students to improve their spoken communication skills in a very short period of time.
English for Academic Purpose Program
Conventional ESL programs do not educate students with the skills necessary to prosper at the advanced academic level required in Canadian colleges and universities. RCIIS is uniquely situated to offer the type of program which will fill the void that currently exists.
The English for Academic Purpose program is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to succeed in the Canadian post-secondary environment. This program will educate international students with not only the language skills, but also academic and life skills necessary to succeed in a Canadian post-secondary institution.

Students will gain knowledge in different areas of study such as psychology, sociology, history and business.
Students will engage in a wide range of university disciplines and be encouraged to participate in discussions on open-ended questions. With regards to the listening and speaking component, students will be exposed to different viewpoints while working towards both individual and group related activities such as organized debates and presentations. Additionally, students will build and expand their comprehension of concepts and vocabulary with a particular focus on the Academic Word List.

IELTS Preparation Course at RCIIS
This course aims to prepare students for academic or immigration purposes. Our main focus is to help students with the 4 basic skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking. Our teacher help students understand IELTS reading articles while teaching them strategies such as skimming, scanning and guessing. In class writing and speaking activities allow students to get quick feedback on their work. Communication is the essence of language. We help you cultivate English thinking by one on one speaking practice with native English speaking teachers to help you overcome nervousness.
This program is flexible, allowing students to study for a minimum of 8 weeks up to 24 weeks and more. The only limit is satisfaction of personal and academic goals in English proficiency. From week 8, you will see your score rise dramatically! We guarantee! IELTS is excellent for building English skills as well as getting admission to university and graduate studies.
Advanced Discussion: Contemporary Issues
In Advanced Discussion: Contemporary Issues, discussions are based on issues that have a relevance in everyday life. The program includes lively and interesting discussions and debates about how globalization, culture, technology, and world events increasingly influence our world.
Students are encouraged to think critically and analyze articles so they examine issues at a deeper level. Students can ask questions if they are not familiar with the topic and at the same time learn more about what is going on in the society. It’s a great program for students who would like to learn about recent events while being able express their opinion freely without hesitating.
This program is for students who want to develop critical thinking skills while learning sophisticated vocabulary and topics!
Lessons will include lectures, discussions, debates, and presentations, as well as videos and communicative activities. Assignments and exercises will focus on speaking, listening and reading skills to help students improve their language proficiency and build their confidence in business English communication.
Additionally, students will also get a chance to provide articles of their choice to initiate some lessons.
The Business Communication program is an intensive educational program requiring a minimum of 8 weeks and up to 16 weeks. This program offers students the opportunity to learn, comprehend and apply business English concepts and vocabulary. The purpose of this program is to introduce students to the basic topics needed for the business environment. Some topics include, the business environment, employment, marketing, and finance.
The course deals with examining issues in terms instruction, discussion, debate and critical analysis. Business English communicative skills are developed through both individual and group exercises including: daily group discussions, vocabulary exercises, listening exercises, reading and comprehension exercises, case studies, projects and assignments. Team work is also major component in this class because students need to be able to develop this skill to use it in a workplace.
Particular emphasis is placed increasing students’ confidence with regards to expressing individual opinions as well as public speaking and presentations. Students will gain a familiarity with various business concepts and have the confidence to deal with them effectively and appropriately. Students should be prepared for an intensive academic experience with extensive reading and projects.
