QBridge – Queen’s University Bridging Pathway
QBridge is an English language pathway to Queen’s University for students who are academically competitive for admission to a Queen’s undergraduate degree program, but who do not meet the required admission standard for English language proficiency.
This pathway ensures that students are linguistically, academically and culturally prepared to complete their Queen’s undergraduate degree studies.
English for Academic Purposes
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) is an intensive language program that prepares students for university or college studies in English. Students have 22.5 hours of classroom instruction per week.
This full-time program is suitable for students planning to apply to university (at the undergraduate or graduate level) and college, and for students already enrolled in a post-secondary institution. Those who have completed their university education and who wish to improve their academic English skills will also be well served by this program.
The EAP Program offers intensive, integrated practice in all four language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. This program also puts particular emphasis on the knowledge, skills and strategies essential for academic success:

- Academic writing techniques
- Autonomous learning

Canadian English Experience Program
Canadian English Experience program is a short-term English program, which provides you with an opportunity to learn English and to explore Canada. This student-centered immersion program focuses on developing speaking and listening skills using Canadian cultural and social content.
Queen’s University and the City of Kingston offer an ideal English-immersion environment to international students.

Canadian Academic English Experience
The Canadian Academic English Experience program is a short-term English language program, which focuses on learning academic English at a top-tier Canadian university.This student-centered immersion program focuses on developing speaking and listening skills using Canadian academic content. This program offers excellent preparation for further academic studies including the English for Academic Purposes program or provides an English language refresher program for exchange students or others taking English-language academic programs.
This program is ideal for the intermediate or higher level English language learner. Queen’s University and the City of Kingston offer an ideal English-immersion environment to international students.
